Holiday spirit abounds at CIA at Copia with weekend events leading up to 2018
 

Napa, Calif. (December 11, 2017) – The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia, the ultimate Napa Valley destination for exploring, experiencing, and enjoying the world of food and wine, is hosting weekend festivities through the end of the year that are sure to please even the most Scroogelike holiday revelers. Napa Lighted Art FestivalFrom Napa’s first ever Lighted Art Festival to an early New Year celebration with an all-inclusive Champagne tasting, CIA at Copia offers a bit of holiday cheer for everyone.

Napa Lighted Art Festival | Dec. 9-175 – 10 p.m. (free)
This new festival, where light becomes art, creates a stunning path of artwork as light displays are projected onto eight buildings throughout Napa, with two installations at CIA at Copia. The show runs nightly through Dec. 17. CIA at Copia has one art installation lighting up the exterior of the building called “Flow” by artist David Sullivan and one interactive exhibit in the amphitheater called “Sonic Expression” by Bay Area artists Cecil Lossy and Eddy McLay. Each evening, the CIA at Copia will sell wine tastings and wine to be enjoyed while watching the lights and a new daily shopping promotion at The Store at CIA Copia. Bocuse d'OrCulinary Olympics: Meet Team USA | Dec. 15, 6 – 7:30 p.m. ($15)
Get warmed up for the winter Olympics by learning how Team USA struck gold at Bocuse d’Or, “the Olympics of the cooking world.” The evening features a culinary demonstration and tasting led by Team USA’s newest candidate and CIA alum, Matt Kirkley, as well as a book signing and meet-and-greet with 2015 Bocuse d’Or Silver Medalist and 2017 Head Coach Chef Philip Tessier and Team USA Head Coach Chef Robert Sulatycky. Après Ski Winter Social | Dec. 16, 12 – 4 p.m. (free entry)
Come to CIA at Copia for a fun-filled afternoon with activities for the whole family, including crafts for the kids, a screening of a family-friendly movie, merry music by Polkageist West, beer, wine, and snacks. Seasonal culinary classes are offered at 11 a.m.2 p.m. and 5 p.m.Register for classes and purchase drink tickets on Eventbrite.

Pop!Pop! A Champagne Celebration | Dec. 29, 5 – 8 p.m. ($35)
Start the New Year’s celebration early with an all-inclusive tasting of an eclectic selection of Champagnes showcasing a range of styles, paired with hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are limited. Register on Eventbrite.
