Tami von IsakovicsWith both an agency and in-house perspective, Tami von Isakovics has 14 years of public relations and marketing experience in the restaurant/hospitality, consumer, arts and entertainment, government and retail industries.  She believes in providing her clients with excellent personalized service, sound judgment and creative thinking to get the results they need.

Since launching Ellipses Public Relations, Inc., in Spring 2009 with business partner Diana Gil-Osorio, Tami has led publicity campaigns for a variety of hospitality clients including The Ahwahnee in Yosemite National Park and its special winter events:  Vintners’ Holidays, The Bracebridge Dinner and Chefs’ Holidays; the launch of Donato Enoteca restaurant in Redwood City, CA; the Half Moon Bay Inn in Half Moon Bay, CA; and 15 Romolo, Masa’s Restaurant and Mission Beach Café in San Francisco.  Her work has resulted in a growing list of A-list media placements including the New York Times, Better Homes & Gardens, Celebrated Living, the San Francisco Chronicle, Imbibe, California Home & Design and the Los Angeles Times.

Prior to Ellipses, Tami was an Executive Director in the San Francisco office of hospitality PR firm Wagstaff Worldwide, where she served restaurant clients including the Lark Creek Restaurant Group, Fifth Floor Restaurant and Lounge, bacar, Jardinière, the Plumed Horse, Marché, Santi, Diavola, Straits Restaurant Group, Nice Ventures and Cetrella.  While there, she directed strategy and created compelling media campaigns for existing and soon-to-launch restaurants, securing numerous local and national placements for her clients.

She previously held senior positions at several boutique PR firms in San Francisco, focusing on consumer, retail, food product and consumer technology clients, which included NBC, Cold Stone Creamery, CafePress.com, Magnatune and the Cat Fanciers’ Association International Cat Show.

Before relocating to San Francisco from Washington, D.C., in late 2004, Tami spent three years as a freelance public relations consultant, working with clients on a variety of branding, media and PR initiatives.  Clients included Feld Entertainment and the worldwide launch of the Disney Live! brand of touring shows and the Disney on Ice properties; Georgetown University; the Federal Transit Administration; the Travel Channel and Animal Planet.  Previously, Tami spent two years at Goodman Media International, where she managed and participated in local-market and national outreach campaigns for such clients as The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer; WETA Washington, DC (PBS-producing station); the Discovery Channel; Animal Planet; TLC and Americans for the Arts.

Tami began her career in the public affairs practice of Burson-Marsteller’s Washington, D.C., office where she worked on public education campaigns for clients including the U.S. Treasury, Tennessee-American Water Company, the Foundation for Clean Air Progress and Tysons Corner Center.  She graduated with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Spanish from Virginia Tech.

Outside of the office, Tami is involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program and is a volunteer for the San Francisco Food Bank and the Princess Project.
