PATXI’S PIZZA ANNOUNCES OPENING OF 17th RESTAURANT IN DUBLIN, CALIF.

Polished casual dining destination opens in East Bay, joining growing collection of restaurants serving handcrafted, great-tasting food in a stylish, welcoming environment

Sausalito, Calif. – December 30, 2015 – Patxi’s Pizza, a collection of polished casual dining destinations in California, Denver and Seattle, announces their newest restaurant: Patxi’s Dublin at 5130 Dublin Blvd. The newly built, 52-seat restaurant offers a vast selection of handcrafted deep-dish and thin crust pizzas made with carefully sourced, quality ingredients, as well as a wide range of appetizers, salads, and a curated wine, beer and cocktail list. Patxi’s Dublin joins 16 other restaurants in the growing company, two of which recently opened in the San Francisco Bay Area: Patxi’s Bon Air, Greenbrae in Marin County in August, and Patxi’s San Carlos in the South Bay this past April.

“We are excited to grow in the East Bay,” said Patxi Azpiroz, co-founder of Patxi’s Pizza. “For more than a decade, Patxi’s has established itself as a warm, welcoming and fun place where guests can share a quality, delicious meal with friends and family, and we look forward to continuing that tradition at our Dublin location.”“In addition to offering a great dining experience to our guests, we’re looking forward to getting involved with and supporting more of the East Bay community with our 52 Weeks of Giving program, which donates 10 percent of a day’s sales every week, at every location, to a local nonprofit,” added Bill Freeman, co-founder.

In addition to distinctive pizzas, hearty salads and innovative appetizers, Patxi’s also boasts a carefully selected, value-driven premium list of wines and a wide beer selection featuring regional favorites and well-known local beers available on a rotating basis. Additionally, Patxi’s cocktail program was recently reimagined and now features a large selection of classic cocktails along with unique specialty house drinks, all available for $9.

While there is continuity throughout Patxi’s Pizza locations, each restaurant in the collection has its own feel and design, which is a reflection of the surrounding neighborhood and the expertise of Freeman. High gloss paint and custom lighting fixtures are used at Patxi’s Dublin, as well as blackened steel, marble top bars and dark woods. Additionally, Patxi’s Dublin boasts a sizeable outdoor patio that seats more than 100 with a full bar and three flat-screen televisions. All of these elements contribute to the clean, rustic, yet modern feel found at the new East Bay restaurant.

Patxi’s Dublin is located at 5130 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner Sunday -Thursday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.  Additionally, happy hour specials are available Monday – Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

ABOUT PATXI’S PIZZA

Patxi’s Pizza, a collection of polished casual dining destinations in California, Denver and Seattle, serves distinctive deep-dish pizza, thin crust pizza, and a wide range of appetizers and salads made with the finest, carefully sourced and best-tasting ingredients. Patxi’s was founded during the summer of 2004 in Palo Alto, Calif., when pizza lover and entrepreneur Bill Freeman partnered with Francisco “Patxi” Azpiroz, a longtime friend and expert pizza maker. Their vision was to serve the best authentic, deep-dish pizza in a stylish, sophisticated and welcoming environment. Little did they know they were helping pioneer the concept of polished casual dining, which combines the best from both white tablecloth and casual dining, with their approach to service, pricing, product and atmosphere. Today, Patxi’s has 17 locations and is still run by Bill and Patxi out of the company’s headquarters in Sausalito, Calif.

In addition to serving great-tasting and responsibly sourced food, Patxi’s is deeply rooted in and committed to the communities they serve. Their year-round corporate initiative titled “52 Weeks of Giving,” donates 10 percent of a day’s sales, every week at every location. Since its inception, 52 Weeks of Giving has donated more than $1 million. Additionally, Patxi’s recently funded an eponymous learning center at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato, Calif., the nation’s first independent research facility focused solely on understanding the connection between aging and chronic disease. The company’s continuous commitment to charitable giving firmly positions Patxi’s as one of the top most philanthropic companies in the San Francisco Bay Area.
