THREE DAYS, THREE DEALS AT OAKLAND’S SHAKEWELL

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Night Specials Make Mid-Week Dining Irresistible 
Oakland, Calif.—November 10, 2016—With Shakewell, Chef/Owner Jen Biesty and General Manager/Owner Tim Nugent have created something special: a friendly and popular neighborhood restaurant that turns out fresh, innovative Mediterranean cuisine with global influences.

Now, adding to its vibrant menu of small plates, bombas, fish, meats and sides, Shakewell is pleased to offer weekday deals every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to satisfy a range of palettes, price points, and occasions:

Tuesday: Fried Chicken Dinner
Shakewell is the place to take a crowd on Tuesday nights for Fried Chicken Dinner, served family-style. Guests can choose a meal for two to four people for $49 or a meal for four to six people for $98. Both meals include buttermilk fried organic 38 North chicken, two sides, pickles, cornbread and three different sauces. Bonus: Dine before 6 p.m. and receive complimentary churros with buttermilk syrup.

Wednesday: No Corkage
On We Drink Wine Wednesday, the corkage fee is waived and guests receive 20% off Shakewell’s wine list.

Thursday: $1 Oysters
Every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. oysters are just a buck a shuck at the bar.

Half-Price Happy Hour
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in addition to Happy Hour drink specials, guests can order off the bar menu for half-price. Make a meal of Shakewell’s popular bar bites, like fried chicken, bacon-wrapped medjool dates, and bacaleo croquetas, for half the regular price from 4 to 6 p.m., at the bar only.

No matter the night, Shakewell’s menu showcases Mediterranean flavors with influences from Spain, Turkey, and North Africa, that are infused with fun seasonal twists, like falafel with romesco, Spanish chorizo, and mint. Four seasonal “bombas” (rice dishes baked in the wood burning oven) showcase local seafood, vegetables and meat. Meats dishes include Grilled Lamb Kefta with harissa, yogurt cucumber sauce, quinoa and mint; Spanish Octopus with potatoes, celery hearts, salsa verde, olive, and Spanish chorizo; and a daily wood-oven roasted whole fish.
