Tratto Welcomes Holiday Season with an Italian Twist

TRATTO WELCOMES HOLIDAY SEASON WITH AN ITALIAN TWIST

Modern trattoria in San Francisco’s Theater District introduces new lunch menu, seasonal cocktails, Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve and much more

San Francisco, Calif. – December 7, 2016 – Tratto, a spirited, bar-driven restaurant serving rustic Italian fare in the heart of San Francisco’s Theater District, celebrates the arrival of the holiday season with the debut of daily lunch service, a special promotion for Union Square ice skaters and San Francisco theater attendees, and seasonal cocktails, as well as a traditional Feast of Seven Fishes menu on Christmas Eve, and a pre-fix New Year’s Eve dinner. Led by Executive Chef David Feldman and created by San Francisco’s Puccini Group, Tratto is adjacent to The Marker, a newly rebranded Joie de Vivre Hotel, and is conveniently located a short walk away from San Francisco’s top shops, theaters and museums.

Tratto’s New Lunch Menu
Available Now

Inspired by popular dinner offerings, Tratto’s new lunch menu offers small, sharable dishes to start, such as House-made meatballs ($9), Kabocha squash, brown butter, lemon ($8), and Burrata crostini, spicy walnut honey, chili threads ($10). Salads include Butter lettuce, green goddess, pickled red onion, pork belly crisps ($11), Whole leaf Caesar, cured anchovies, cheese crouton ($11); and Little gems, shredded chicken, currants, grapes, pickled red onion, feta, toasted pecan ($14). Pastas, such as the Bucatini, pancetta, tomato, onion, chili, pecorino ($15) or Lasagna, Bolognese, ricotta and mozzarella ($16) are very tempting, as are the pizzas, such as Mushrooms, fontina, basil pesto ($15) and Nduja, chorizo, pancetta, kale, fontina ($17).

New to the Tratto menu for lunch service only are an array of three panini, including one featuring the restaurant’s popular Fried chicken thighs, with crispy prosciutto, pickled red onion, spicy aioli ($14), as well as Smoked turkey, Parmesan, caramelized onions, Dijon ($14) and Eggplant, fontina, piquillo, pesto($14). The new Tratto Burger features fontina, crispy pancetta, onion jam, oven-roasted tomato, ciabatta and is served with fries ($18).

Open seven days a week for breakfast and dinner, as well as weekend brunch, Tratto has entrances from both Geary Street and the hotel’s lobby, making it a tempting stop for theater-goers, shoppers, hotel guests and passersby. The restaurant also offers a private dining room, an ideal spot for events and seated dining for up to 26. The new lunch menu is offered daily, 12:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Holiday Promotions & Seasonal Cocktails
Available Now – December 31

Throughout the month of December, Tratto guests receive a complimentary Mulled Apple Cider when they present a ticket stub from a recent live theater performance (dated after December 1) or the Union Square Ice Rink to their server.

Inspired by the Italian tradition of aperitivo, or happy hour, Tratto offers a seasonally-driven array of Italian cocktails that pair perfectly with a delectable menu of simple, shareable dishes. This holiday season, Tratto guests may enjoy two special cocktails, a Sicilian Rye (Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Laird’s Apple Brandy, Amaro Montenegro, Disaronno, apple cider, tonic and a dash of Angostura bitters, $12) and an Italian Sailor (Templeton Rye, cinnamon shrub, Averna Amaro and dry vermouth; $12), as well as the regular beverage menu of bottled cocktails, Italian sodas, a housemade limoncello program, and a curated selection of beer and wine from Italy and the West Coast.

Feast of Seven Fishes
December 24, 5-9 p.m.

In celebration of the time-honored Italian tradition, Executive Chef Feldman has created a Feast of Seven Fishes pre-fix menu for Christmas Eve, partnering with Cline Family Cellars and Cline Sisters Imports to offer perfectly paired beverage offerings at an additional cost. ($75 per person, $35 for pairing, exclusive of tax and gratuity). The menu is also available a la carte, and a limited regular menu will also be available.

Feast of Seven Fishes

Sicilian seafood stew with fregola in saffron tomato broth ($22)

Mahi-mahi risotto with leeks, fennel and citrus herb salad ($18)

Seventh course
Whole-roasted red snapper with herb-roasted potatoes and citrus butter sauce ($32)

On New Year’s Eve, Tratto will offer a special pre-fix menu for $45 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity, with a beverage pairing option, including cocktails ($25). The four course menu features:
